The Denver Country Club is seeking an experienced Banquet Manager to direct and oversee events at the club. Will work inter-departmentally with Catering, Kitchen, Operations/Set-ups. The Banquet Manager must love creating memorable experiences for our members and their guests and taking care of event logistics. The Banquet Manager will also foster a positive environment for staff and manage and delegate reposibilities, train new hires, lead by example and have strong organizational, service and hospitality skills.


  • Recruits, trains and supervises the banquet service staff.
  • Completes a weekly schedule based on planned events conserving budget dollars while providing excellent service standards. 
  • Works closely with Chef, Catering, and Housekeeping to assure that each event is ready for service.
  • Develops detailed plans for each event.  
  • Ensures that all banquet staff is well-groomed and in proper uniform (including name tags). 
  • Holds pre-function meetings with servers to ensure smooth, efficient service; assigns Server responsibilities, stations, and coordinates the timing of the courses.    
  • Handles complaints/comments.
  • Assures proper inventory of all banquet server equipment and supplies to meet required   
  • Regularly inspects all equipment and banquet service areas to assure that sanitation, safety, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards for the department are met.
  • Assists the Chef in the preparation of the annual budget to increase the profitability of the department.
  • Assume other responsibilities as requested by the Clubhouse Services Director or General Manager.


  • Experience in banquet & event management
  • Excellent Service Skills
  • Must have great organization and communication skills
  • Excellent follow through skills
  • Works 40+ hours as needed
  • Works holidays and/or weekend based on events planned 
  • Can work well in deadline driven environment
